Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Active license to practice law in Colorado.
• Experience in probate, trust, estate, fiduciary, elder law, or related litigation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in contested probate, estate, and trust litigation.
• Handle disputes involving wills, trusts, estates, beneficiaries, personal representatives, trustees, and fiduciaries.
• Represent fiduciaries and beneficiaries in claims involving breach of fiduciary duty, surcharge, and related liability issues.
• Handle contested guardianship and conservatorship proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Manage discovery, depositions, negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.
• Prepare for and appear at hearings, evidentiary proceedings, and trials.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, fiduciaries, experts, and other professionals.
• Develop case strategy from initial evaluation through resolution.
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and the firm’s litigation team.
• Identify opportunities for negotiated resolutions while being prepared to aggressively litigate when necessary.
