Job summary

Libra Solutions is seeking an Underwriter & Legal Analyst to support a nationwide network of attorneys and healthcare providers. This in-person role will focus on analyzing funded probate cases, monitoring progress through the probate process, and determining actions to ensure timely payments on purchased assignments.

The position is based at our Rye Brook, NY office and requires a Bachelor’s degree with probate-related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Probate-related experience preferred.
• Senior paralegal background preferred.
• Prior underwriting or portfolio management experience a plus.
• Strong analytical/reasoning skills and ability to comprehend legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform due diligence analysis to decide which cases to fund.
• Analyze probate case documents to assess merits.
• Collaborate with team to evaluate and close fundings.
• Interact with heirs and attorneys to evaluate cases.
• Ask questions and discuss case issues with team members.
• Make recommendations on approvals and denials.
• Coordinate with sales to explain rationale for approvals.
• Document details and maintain accurate case records.
• Learn probate processes and improve due diligence workflows.
