Wade Litigation, a growing litigation and family law group in California, seeks a seasoned attorney to join our practice. You will meet clients, draft pleadings, manage depositions, handle discovery, and take part in hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations.

Candidates must be a licensed California attorney with 10+ years of experience and probate experience (wills, trusts, and estate litigation). Strong drafting, negotiating, and analytical abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Exemplary client service skills with prompt response levels at all times.
• Desire to make court appearances, argue motions, and participate in hearings.
• 10+ years of experience as a licensed attorney.
• Minimum of 5 years of probate; wills, trust, and estate litigation experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong drafting and negotiating skills and the ability to communicate legal subject matter to non-attorneys.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, business judgment, and strategic legal thinking.
• Ability to manage workflow independently to meet firm deadlines while achieving business and risk management objectives.
• Courtroom experience preferred but not a prerequisite.
• Knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients and gather case information.
• Draft pleadings and motions.
• Administer depositions and conduct discovery.
• Propound and respond to discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and write motions.
• Make court appearances and argue motions.
• Participate in trials, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Interview witnesses and draft agreements.

Description of the Position:

Primary duties will include meeting with clients, drafting pleadings, administering depositions, propounding and responding to discovery, conducting research, writing motions, making court appearances, arguing motions, participating in trials, interviewing witnesses, drafting agreements, negotiating settlements, attending mediations, and arbitrations, handling family law cases and other activities requested by the partners.
