Job summary

IEP Resource Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) for a federal construction project in Richmond, Virginia. The SSHO will be the site’s dedicated safety professional, implementing and enforcing the project safety and health program.

The successful candidate must be proactive, visible in the field, and able to work full-time onsite. Responsibilities include administering the Accident Prevention Plan, conducting daily inspections, coordinating AHAs, tool-box

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Outreach completed within 5 years.
• Current safety certification and at least 3 years of construction safety experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and EM 385-1-1 requirements.
• Ability to prepare, administer, and enforce project safety documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to interact with management and subcontractors.
• Willingness to work full-time onsite in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent onsite safety presence during construction operations.
• Implement and administer the Accident Prevention Plan (APP).
• Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and toolbox talks.
• Identify hazards and address deficiencies promptly.
• Review subcontractor safety programs and monitor compliance.
• Coordinate AHAs and site orientations; keep required safety records.
