Job summary

Gallagher Asphalt Corp. is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to align trucking, materials, and project needs across construction sites and plants. You will proactively manage schedules, communicate with drivers and partners, and balance loads to optimize efficiency.

The role requires on-site presence and strong problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on reducing waste and improving dispatch processes. A background in heavy trucking or asphalt operations is preferred.

Qualifications

Experience in dispatching, trucking coordination, logistics, or plant operations.
Ability to manage pace and unpredictability of construction/trucking environments.
Proven credibility with drivers, field leaders, vendors, and managers.
Ability to make decisions, resolve conflicts, and communicate directly.
Highly organized with multi-schedule and multi-conversation management.
Able to leverage data to identify waste and improve performance.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily trucking schedules for projects, plant operations, and material moves.
Confirm requests are accepted and fully covered before the next day begins.
Monitor trucking activity and adjust plans in real time as conditions change.
Maintain clear communication with drivers, brokers, foremen, and leadership.
Balance company trucks with third-party brokers to meet needs while controlling costs.
Coordinate equipment moves, permits, and cost tracking for lowboy operations.
Monitor material deliveries to plants and jobsites.
Maintain accurate records in company systems and review data for improvements.
Help strengthen dispatching processes and technology.
