Solomon Page is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant in El Segundo, CA to support a busy general liability defense practice. The role emphasizes managing litigation calendars, coordinating attorney schedules, and handling filings and discovery from inception through case activity.

The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of independent work while collaborating with attorneys and the legal team.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Legal Assistant in general liability or civil litigation.
• Strong understanding of litigation process and terminology.
• Experience with discovery requests, serving and responding.
• Experience filing and serving motions and related documents.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal and administrative support to attorneys.
• Manage complex litigation calendars and deadlines.
• Prepare and coordinate initial and responsive discovery.
• Prepare, file, and serve motions and related documents.
• Coordinate depositions, meetings, hearings, and case events.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure attorneys are aware of requirements.
• E-file and serve documents through court systems.
• Communicate with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Assist with general litigation workflow and admin tasks.
