Job summary

Wsmanagementinc is seeking a skilled Preventative Maintenance Technician to maintain guest rooms and support repairs across the property in Rancho Cordova, CA. You will perform scheduled preventive maintenance and address repairs before they impact guests, ensuring rooms meet brand standards.

The ideal candidate has hotel maintenance experience and can handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and general repairs with strong attention to detail and safety.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hotel or property maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance best practices.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools and reading technical manuals or schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varied settings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform repairs in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
• Respond quickly and professionally to guest maintenance requests and internal work orders
• Conduct daily property walk-throughs and complete duty round checklists, addressing issues as needed
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation of equipment and building systems
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance spaces, work areas, and affected guest/public areas during repairs
• Install, maintain, and repair appliances, light fixtures, door hardware, and more
• Check and maintain safety systems (fire alarms, emergency lighting, ventilation systems, etc.)
• Support outdoor upkeep: maintain trash areas, assist with minor landscaping tasks
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors for external support when needed
• Communicate effectively with the Director of Engineering and General Manager regarding major repairs or safety concerns
