Job summary

Lipscomb Academy is seeking a security professional to patrol Lipscomb University campus and nearby facilities, respond to dispatch calls, and escort individuals when needed. The role emphasizes vigilance, reporting, and collaboration with campus leadership to maintain a safe environment.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years in security, a Tennessee Armed Guard license (preferred), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in security, law enforcement, military, corrections, or combination.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pro-active, high visibility preventive patrols of Lipscomb University main campus and off-site facilities.
• Respond to dispatched calls for service/assistance via Lipscomb University Security dispatch center.
• Respond to requests for safety escorts of students, faculty, staff, or visitors.
• Observe and investigate unusual or suspicious circumstances; report and follow up on hazards.
• Enforce parking regulations on campus and manage closures for events.
• Work with operations leaders to develop and implement emergency action plans.
