Job summary

Lipscomb University in Nashville is seeking a security professional to conduct proactive patrols across campus and off-site facilities, respond to dispatches, and maintain safety for students, faculty, and staff.

This role emphasizes strong communication, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with the Director of Operations. You will enforce parking rules, assist with events, and coordinate with First Responders as needed, all while upholding a professional, respectful demeanor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields.
• Active Tennessee Armed Guard License (preferred)
• Valid Tennessee driver’s license.
• Pass background check and drug screening.
• Education: High School (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive patrols of Lipscomb University main campus and off-site facilities.
• Respond to dispatched calls for service via Security dispatch center.
• Provide safety escorts for students, faculty, staff, or visitors.
• Perform scheduled locks/unlocks of buildings and rooms.
• Observe and report suspicious activity and safety hazards.
• Enforce campus parking regulations and assist with lot closures.
• Engage with university community to promote a safe environment.
• Coordinate with First Responders as needed.
• Remain professional and uphold Christ-like service.
