Job summary

Gertens Family of Businesses in Eagan, MN is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for our Pro Turf team. This role focuses on expanding wholesale relationships, meeting sales targets, and delivering customer solutions in the green industry.

You'll develop partnerships, present proposals, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to grow opportunities, while maintaining excellent service and accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Horticulture or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years outside sales experience, preferably in green industry.
• Strong knowledge of plant materials, turf, landscape maintenance, and design principles.
• Experience estimating, presenting, and selling enhancement projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Build and expand wholesale customer relationships to drive sales growth.
• Meet or exceed sales goals across wholesale product lines.
• Conduct regular customer visits to assess needs and satisfaction.
• Prospect for new business and generate opportunities beyond current accounts.
• Collaborate with customers to develop solutions and provide timely follow-up.
• Present proposals and enhancement opportunities to customers and management.
• Process sales orders and related paperwork accurately and efficiently.
