Job summary

NBC News Studios seeks an experienced contract Audio & Mix Engineer to support audio-first and video podcast programming. You will engineer recording sessions, manage studio and remote productions, edit and mix episodes in Pro Tools, and uphold high audio quality across our portfolio.

This is a Monday–Friday, full-time hybrid role with four days onsite at NBC's 30 Rock location, and occasional five-day onsite as needed. The contract is estimated at 24 months or less, depending on deliverables.

Qualifications

4+ years of professional podcast experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.

Responsibilities

Engineer in-studio and remote podcast sessions.
Prepare studios, microphones, routing, monitoring, and talkback systems.
Record and manage multitrack audio assets.
Edit, clean, and mix podcast episodes in Pro Tools.
Collaborate with producers, editors, and talent to meet deadlines.
Troubleshoot audio and technical issues during live and recorded sessions.
Support video podcast workflows, including synchronization and delivery of audio assets.
Maintain consistent loudness, quality control, and delivery standards.
