Job summary

Troon is hiring a Pro Shop Attendant for Max A Mandel Golf Course in Laredo, TX. You will learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property.

Responsibilities include processing reservations, check-in support, inventory displays, cash handling in the POS, and maintaining a clean, secure shop while delivering friendly service to guests and players.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be coachable and have basic computer skills.
• Must be dependable and have a strong work ethic.
• Knowledge about the game of golf preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course.
• Provide customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in process.
• Arranges and displays golf shop inventory as necessary and directed.
• Collects green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and processes in the POS system as trainer.
• Assists in maintaining a clean, safe workplace.
• Assists in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the day.
• Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily.
• Assist with set-up of equipment and golf cart.
• When acting as an “Outside” staff member, welcome and greet guests and explain rules and etiquette.

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities

When acting as an \"Inside\" staff member

• Responsible for processing customer reservations for guests of the golf course
• Provides customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in process
• Arranges and displays golf shop inventory as necessary and directed
• Collects green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and processes in the POS system as trainer
• Assists in maintaining a clean, safe workplac
• Assists in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the da
• Ensure property and it's amenities are secured dail
• Assist with set-up of equipment and golf cart

Perform related duties as assigned by General Manager

• When acting as an “Outside” staff membe
• Responsible for welcoming and greeting of guests and players in a friendly manner
• Explaining rules and course etiquette to all groups if needed
• Wash and sanitize golf cart fleet, maintain organized storage areas and practice facility
• Assist with the set-up and organization of the golf carts and equipment for any regular tee time starts or outing
• Facilitate orderly and timely pace of play of groups to prevent delay
• Answer all questions in a friendly manner. Keep a record of starting times and golf cart numbers for each group when necessary
• Ensure that each group has four players if possible
• Responsible for the picking up and cleaning practice balls when schedule
• Ensure property and it's amenities are secured daily
• Perform related duties as assigned by General Manager
