Job summary

Los Lagos Golf Course in Edinburg, TX, part of Troon, is offering a full-time Store Attendant role. You will assist customers with purchases, process sales at the General Store, and help maintain stock and cleanliness.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, plus 1–3 months related experience or training. Physical demands include standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional extreme temperatures. Alcohol service and sanitation training are required where permitted.

Qualifications

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

General Purpose:

Assists customers with purchases at the General Store.

• Performs opening and closing procedures for the general store.
• Participates in the inventory process.
• Processes sales transactions utilizing cash registers. Process both cash and credit card transactions.
• Ensures store items are stocked regularly.
• Balances and prepares end of shift audit and receipt report based on established procedures.
• Participates in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility.
• Assists customers with questions and concerns and locating items.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

Frequently will stand and walk; uses hands; talk or hear. Regularly will reach with hands and arms. Occasionally may sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.

Occasionally works in extreme cold or heat (non-weather). Regularly works in areas near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally may come into contact with toxic or caustic chemicals and may risk electrical shock. Noise level is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses:

Sanitation Training. Alcohol Service Training. (Must meet state age requirements for the service of alcohol.)

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
