Reports To: Pro Shop Operations Director & Administrator
Mission
The Pro Shop Attendant is the first point of contact for our members and guests. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, supporting golf operations, and maintaining the welcoming and organized atmosphere of the Pro Shop. Our mission is to ensure a friendly, professional, and memorable golf experience for every visitor.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greeting all customers warmly and professionally upon entry to the Pro Shop.
- Answering phones promptly and courteously using the standard greeting:
- “Good Morning/Afternoon, King City Golf Course. This is [Your Name]. How may I help you?”
- Responding professionally to inquiries, concerns, and complaints from customers and residents.
- Fostering a positive, helpful environment for all guests, members, and coworkers.
Operational Duties
- Schedule and manage tee times accurately and efficiently.
- Collect and process green fees and Pro Shop purchases in accordance with established financial controls.
- Follow all opening and closing procedures, including cash handling.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized Pro Shop environment by:
- Vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down surfaces regularly.
- Cleaning tables and countertops in the Tack Room.
- Restocking and organizing food, beverage, and merchandise displays.
- Monitoring stock levels and creating shopping lists for reordering when needed.
- Assist with setup and execution of special events and promotions.
- Other duties as needed or assigned by the manager.
Golf Cart & Equipment Care
- Maintain cleanliness of golf carts, blowing off debris nightly and washing when needed.
- Communicate with management for upkeep of surrounding areas including the cart storage and air hose areas.
Teamwork & Support
- Support Marshals during shifts as needed.
- Assist fellow staff and management with special projects and ongoing operational tasks.
- Stay engaged during downtime by proactively cleaning, restocking, or organizing the shop.
Daily Expectations
- Maintain a positive, energetic, and service-oriented demeanor throughout the shift.
- Multitask efficiently during peak times while maintaining focus and accuracy.
- Be aware of both customer-facing and behind-the-scenes cleanliness and presentation standards.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 or older.
- Previous retail, hospitality, or golf-related experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills.
Requirements
- Must be 18 or older in order to obtain and maintain a valid OLCC Server’s Permit for selling/serving alcoholic beverages.
- Reimbursement provided by King City Civic Association (KCCA) upon submission of receipts and permit copies.
- Must complete training on both opening and closing procedures.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.A “professional appearance is defined as meeting or exceeding the dress code policy for the golf course.It is ideal if the team sets an example of appropriate golf attire and appearance.
- Must be able to stand, sit, and get into and out of golf carts repeatedly during the day.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds multiple times a shift. (golf clubs, sand & seed bags, and beverages)

Schedule
- Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays.
- Regular schedule assigned upon completion of training
