Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Driver to pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers and handle returns, with a focus on upselling and delivering outstanding service.

The role requires a valid driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work days, evenings and weekends. Automotive parts experience is preferred and you will engage customers to recommend appropriate parts and services.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English; Spanish a plus; communicate effectively and build relationships with customers, peers and leadership
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
• Use basic math for transactions and inventory checks
• Willing to work days, evenings and weekends as needed
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
• Other duties as assigned
