Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a production driver who will pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers in Mount Olive, NC. You will engage with customers, upsell products and help maintain inventory and store presentation.

The role requires high school diploma, valid driver's license and the ability to work various shifts, including weekends. Prior automotive parts experience is preferred, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English; Spanish a plus.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Confident in engaging customers and promoting products
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
• Other duties as assigned
