Zusammenfassung

Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) seeks a Pro Bono Staff Attorney to join the Savannah Regional Office. The PBU staff connects private attorneys with clients in need and oversees recruitment, training, and placement of pro bono cases in the region.

You will collaborate with bar associations, law schools, and statewide colleagues to maintain consistent free civil legal services across GLSP's 154-county territory, while supporting volunteers and developing local programs.

Qualifikationen

• Must have 2+ years experience working with clients with low incomes and/or with potentially marginalized populations.
• Must have completed a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be a member in good standing of the State Bar of Georgia or become licensed in Georgia as early as possible.
• Must have and maintain an active driver’s license.
• Must be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail oriented.

Aufgaben

• Recruit, train, and place cases with volunteer lawyers in the Savannah region.
• Collaborate with Pro Bono Unit staff across Georgia to engage volunteers, law students, and others.
• Maintain local pro bono recruitment, retention, and recognition strategies and partnerships with bar associations and law schools.
• Ensure consistent civil legal services across GLSP’s 154-county territory.
