Job summary

Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) seeks a PBU Staff Paralegal to support the Pro Bono Unit in the Columbus Regional Office. This role recruits and places cases with volunteer lawyers, assists with intake and client management, and strengthens partnerships with local bar associations and law schools.

Co-supervised by a PBU Co-Director and the regional Managing Attorney, the position collaborates statewide to ensure consistent services across 154 counties and supports pro bono projects with

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain an active driver's license.
• Self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail oriented.
• Experience with grant restrictions, requirements, and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain local pro bono programming.
• Place pro bono cases with volunteer lawyers and oversee progress.
• Coordinate internal and external communications for GLSP Pro Bono Unit.
• Recruit volunteers for GLSP pro bono initiatives.
• Support community education and partnership activities in the local office and statewide.
• Conduct outreach to communities with low incomes and build partnerships.
• Represent clients in administrative law matters and conduct intake/screening.
• Support statewide pro bono projects.
