Job summary

Central California Legal Services (CCLS) seeks a dynamic attorney to join its Pro Bono Program as the Supervising Attorney for Re-Entry Legal Services. Reporting to the Director of Pro Bono & Strategic Partnerships, the Attorney will expand and operate the Re-Entry Project, coordinating volunteers and collaborating with the PBP team across CCLS’ service area.

Based in Fresno, Merced, Visalia, or remotely with occasional in-person meetings.

Qualifications

• Member in good standing of the State Bar of California is required.
• 2+ years of legal practice experience; 5+ years if Directing Attorney track includes litigation experience.
• At least 2 years of project management experience.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, goal-oriented, organized.
• Excellent writing, public speaking, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
• Experience recruiting, engaging, managing, and inspiring volunteers preferred.
• Ability to travel and reliable CA driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead designing, expanding, and operating the Re-Entry Legal Services Project.
• Recruit, train, support, and recognize volunteers with Director oversight.
• Create and maintain volunteer training materials.
• Develop partnerships for referrals across CCLS’ service area.
• Expand services by building a panel of attorneys for expungement hearings.
• Supervise volunteers and ensure quality client services.
• Develop client-facing materials and operating procedures.
• Oversee program database and data collection for reporting.
