Job summary

DC Children's Law Center in Washington, DC seeks a Pro Bono Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Pro Bono Program under the direction of the Pro Bono Director. This attorney position coordinates case placement, volunteer engagement, training, mentoring, data management, and program administration to support high-quality children's representation.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and DC Bar membership or immediate eligibility.
• Minimum five years of legal experience as an attorney.
• Experience managing legal or program operations.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-management abilities.
• Commitment to social, economic, and racial justice.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day pro bono operations including case placement and volunteer communications.
• Coordinate mentoring, training logistics, and tracking of cases.
• Identify and place matters with volunteer attorneys in collaboration with staff.
• Develop and maintain training resources and manuals.
• Oversee data collection, reporting, and program evaluation.
• Foster partnerships with law firms, corporations, government agencies, and volunteers.
• Represent CLC at trainings and community events.
