Job summary

Children’s Law Center in Washington, DC is seeking a Pro Bono Manager to run the day-to-day operations of the Pro Bono Program under the Pro Bono Director. You will oversee pro bono case placement, volunteer attorney engagement, training and mentoring systems, data management, and program administration to support effective delivery of pro bono services across CLC’s programs.

Qualifications

J.D. and DC Bar membership or immediate eligibility.
Minimum of five years of legal experience as an attorney, preferably in family law or related matters.
Experience managing legal or program operations, projects, or workflows.
Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to handle multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day pro bono operations including case placement, volunteer communications, mentoring coordination, training logistics and case tracking.
Collaborate with legal program staff to identify matters for volunteer attorneys and ensure appropriate placements.
Monitor program performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency, quality and impact.
Recruit, onboard and support volunteers and build relationships with pro bono partners.
Oversee training programs, resources, and mentoring systems for volunteers.
