Job summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging, LLC in the DFW area is seeking a dependable, patient-focused PRN X-ray technologist to join our team in a fast-paced outpatient environment. The ideal candidate will produce high-quality diagnostic images while following physician orders and safety protocols.

This role offers flexible PRN scheduling with opportunities to work at multiple outpatient imaging centers. Competitive pay based on experience and the chance to cross-train into other modalities are available.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Medical Board (GMR) certification is required.
• Current ARRT (R) certification is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current BLS certification preferred.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations following physician orders and established protocols.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure a safe and comfortable imaging experience.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining image quality standards.
• Practice radiation safety by following ALARA principles and utilizing appropriate shielding techniques.
• Verify patient identity, exam orders, and clinical history prior to imaging.
• Accurately document patient information and imaging procedures in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain imaging equipment and report any equipment concerns or malfunctions.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to provide outstanding patient care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
• Assist with other duties as needed to support departmental operations.
