Job summary

The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric-focused skilled nursing team on Saturdays and Sundays.

The ideal candidate will hold state licensure, be able to evaluate and treat independently, and bring experience with tracheotomy and long-term care. You will maintain patient records, participate in IDT meetings, and perform bedside treatments with a focus on resident comfort and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory therapy to rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and complete daily/weekly/monthly documentation.
• Attend IDT meetings and track caseload.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care setting.

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements Respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different Respiratory illness/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Salary: $48 to $52 an hour
