Job summary

Boulder Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Urgent Care MD/DO to join our team in Boulder, CO. This PRN position requires a minimum of four shifts per month and includes company-paid malpractice insurance, a 401k plan, and healthcare benefits.

The role involves evaluating a wide range of urgent care cases, coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team, and maintaining thorough medical records in a patient-centered, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Current medical licensure.
• Board certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical examinations and patient assessments.
• Diagnose acute illnesses, infections, minor injuries, and exacerbations of chronic conditions.
• Determine whether a patient can be treated in urgent care or requires referral to an ED or specialist.
• Prescribe medications and therapies as clinically appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records.
• Stay current with medical advancements, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements.
