Job summary

AdventHealth in Overland Park, KS is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to support patient flow in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will handle intake, vital signs, specimen collection, and assist providers with procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role requires strong English communication, teamwork, and the ability to multi-task across front and back-office duties; prior MA experience in urgent care/ED preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own the patient experience by driving service initiatives.
• Document procedures and assessments per policy.
• Assess patients during clinical check-in and record vital signs.
• Administer treatments and medications ordered by the provider.
• Perform diagnostic tests and prepare forensic collections per guidelines.
• Complete check-out duties and relay care instructions.
• Follow infection control and PPE usage as per policy.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and training.
