This position encompasses the Anne Arundel County region of Maryland and includes coverage of our centers located in Glen Burnie and Pasadena, MD. UM Urgent Care providers are leaders in our urgent care facilities, delivering excellent care, creating signature patient experiences, and working as a close-knit team with medical assistants and x-ray technologists. We care for patients from one year of age and older, offering services such as treating upper respiratory infections, sprains and strains, suturing, employee health physicals, work-related injuries, and preoperative exams.
PRN providers are required to be available at least 2-3 days each month, including two weekend days. Additionally, all PRN providers must be available one day each month to serve as the 'emergency on call' provider for all our facilities.
Candidates must be licensed Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants in good standing in Maryland (candidates with pending licenses may apply), and possess an NPI number, DEA, and CDS registration (or be in the process of obtaining them). Candidates should have completed a bachelor’s degree relevant to their professional training and have some experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or intensive care settings. A proactive, growth-oriented mindset, passion for high-quality patient care, intellectual curiosity, and openness to feedback are essential.
We provide initial clinical training shifts to ensure new providers acquire necessary procedural skills, clinical knowledge, and electronic health record proficiency. Ongoing support from APP and physician leadership is available telephonically during all operating hours.
