Qualifications

• Associate degree in Ultrasound/Sonography or completion of an accredited sonography program.
• Registry eligibility or ARDMS certification in OB/GYN and Abdomen for general ultrasound.
• BLS within 6–12 months after hire; some positions require additional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform non-invasive scans on various body parts.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient and exam details.
• Adhere to sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Instruct patients regarding the examination and process.
• Collaborate with radiologists to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
• Perform routine maintenance and quality control on equipment and report malfunctions.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service when interacting with patients and staff.
• Assist in training Ultrasound Technologists or students as assigned.
