Job summary

Preferred candidates hold ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification and have completed a diagnostic ultrasound program. BLS is required, with attention to maintaining a clean, stocked work area and accurate charge entries.

Qualifications

• Certified by ARDMS or ARRT(S) required.
• Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and coordinates ultrasound exams with nursing units, radiologists and referring physicians.
• Performs ultrasound exams in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
• Operates ultrasound equipment with proficiency and ensures patient care during the exam.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to leadership and keeps the work area clean and stocked.
• Uses the radiology information system to enter and charge exams and supplies.
