Job summary

Atrium Health Steele Creek Emergency Department is seeking a skilled ultrasound technologist to prioritize and coordinate ultrasound exams with nursing units, radiologists, and referring physicians. The role performs ultrasound exams per departmental protocols and uses proficient equipment operation.

Responsibilities include assisting radiologists in invasive procedures, maintaining high-quality imaging, and ensuring patient care aligns with the department's standards.

Qualifications

• Certified by ARDMS or ARRT(S) is required.
• Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program preferred.
• BLS certification required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders for each patient.
• Assist Radiologist in invasive procedures.
• Evaluate exam quality and optimize technique.
• Support Patient-Centered Care by addressing patient needs.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor or engineer.
• Enter and charge exams in the Radiology system.
