Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy to perform independent procedures to Radiologist standards.
• Proficient with computer systems, data entry, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent patient care and communication across all age groups.
• Professional interaction with patients, families, physicians and staff.
• Able to read/write/speak conversational English; other languages preferred.
• Familiar with Radiology software and PACS; adapt to departmental policies.
• Maintain ongoing education and licenses required for imaging procedures.
• Capable of performing various ultrasound procedures independently.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verifies patient identity and exam appropriateness; collects clinical history.
• Positions patients and equipment; optimizes images, waveforms, and data.
• Maintains accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Explains procedures; ensures patient comfort and privacy.
