Qualifications

• Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (S) required.
• Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program preferred.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
• Assists Radiologist in performance of invasive procedures.
• Evaluates technical quality of exam and develops superior technique for efficiency.
• Supports the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy by treating patients with care.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor or engineering.
• Operates the Radiology computer system—including entering and charging exams.
• Keeps work area neat and stocked.
• Adheres to departmental rules and performs professionally.
