Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center seeks an Ultrasound Technician PRN to perform M-mode, 2D Doppler echocardiograms for adults and children, and assist during invasive procedures. You will relay findings to physicians and clearly explain procedures to patients and families.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year in a cardiac-related field, and current Basic Arrhythmic Interpretation and Ultrasound Training Program certifications. RDCS/RDMS or RVT within 6 months of hire is required.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a cardiac-related field.
• Certification in Basic Arrhythmic Interpretation.
• Certification in Ultrasound Training Program.
• RDCS/RDMS required within 6 months of start date.
• RVT required within 6 months of start date.
• Associate degree and Basic Life Support current/active.

Responsibilities

• Determine priorities in patient care and complete tasks within deadlines.
• Delegate tasks with clear directions to colleagues.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all reports and records.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures for all functions.
• Be flexible with scheduling to meet workload needs.
• Perform well under stress and in emergencies.
