Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking an Ultrasound Tech (PRN) to operate ultrasound equipment and perform diagnostic exams in a clinical setting. You will provide patient services, apply knowledge of anatomy, and support radiologists. Candidates must graduate from an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited program.

ARDMS registration is required within 6 months; RVT/RVS or RT(S)/RT(VS) may be needed for vascular or breast ultrasound. BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited training program.
• None? Prior experience not required.
• AR DMS registration within 6 months of employment; vascular sonographers may require RVT/RVS/RT(S)/RT(VS) within 6 months; breast ultrasound registration through ARRT (BS) may be required.

Responsabilités

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Provides patient care to all age groups (neonatal, pediatric, adult, geriatrics).
• Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
