Job summary

Westpark Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, in Richmond, TX, seeks a Therapist for PRN work to provide psychotherapy and counseling to adults, adolescents, and children dealing with psychiatric, substance use, or co-occurring disorders.

The Therapist will conduct individual, group and family sessions, ensure documentation, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team while maintaining HIPAA standards and patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in social work or counseling or relevant state licensure required.
• Experience: Prior clinical experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients preferred.
• License: Current unencumbered clinical license per state requirements.
• Additional Requirements: CPR and CPI certification within 30 days; flexibility in hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides psychotherapy and counseling therapies including group, individual and family therapy for patients.
• Ensures accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Conducts individual and group therapy sessions and participates in treatment planning.
• Offers family session counseling to involve families and support networks.
• Communicates with clients, families, and outside referral sources; collaborates with interdisciplinary team.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and hospital documentation standards.
• Participates in discharge, transition, and after-care planning.
