Job summary

Turning Point Care Center, Inc. in Moultrie, GA seeks a PRN Therapist to support adults with trauma, mental health, and substance use disorders. You will provide individual and group counseling and contribute to treatment planning within our continuum of care, including inpatient and outpatient services.

The role emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach; licensure in GA is preferred, and CRC/CADC/CAC certifications may be considered for PRN positions.

Qualifications

GA licensure in LMSW/LCSW/LAMFT/LMFT/LAPC/LPC preferred.
CRC, CADC, CAC certifications may be considered for PRN positions with BH experience.
Competence in understanding and treating primary mental health diagnoses, substance dependence, and dual diagnosis.

Responsibilities

Provide individual and group counseling to adults with trauma, mental health, and/or substance use issues.
Group therapy (process and education) in the mornings; afternoons focus on individual sessions, family contacts, case management, and treatment planning.
Work within a continuum of care including inpatient and outpatient services; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

PRN Therapist

Turning Point has an opening for a PRN Therapist to work during the week and/or weekends.

Therapists at Turning Point provide individual and group counseling to adults with trauma, mental health, and/or substance abuse issues. Therapists must be aware of social factors affecting the psychological well‑being of individuals, services/programs for psychological/sociological improvement of individuals, and in conducting evaluative interviews.

Group therapy (process and education groups) is held in the morning. Afternoons are primarily individual sessions, family contacts, case management, and treatment planning. We offer a full contiuum of care including Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient levels of care. Mental Health units are co‑ed and Substance Abuse/Chemical Dependency units are gender specific.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

Licensure in the State of Georgia: LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LAPC, or LPC is preferred
Certifications including CRC, CADC, and CAC may be considered for PRN positions with experience in Behavioral Health
Competence in understanding and treating primary mental health diagnosis, substance dependence, and the treatment of dual diagnosis is required
