Position Title: Weekend/Weekday PRN General or Addiction Psychiatrist

Location: Moultrie, GA

Turning PointCare Centeris one of the largest behavioral health systems in South Georgia, allowing patients to transition between levels of care. Turning Point offers a full continuum of programs for adults with psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment issues. Treatment programs combine bio-psychosocial therapy with the 12-step recovery philosophy.

Position Overview

• Role:PRN, on-site patient rounding and overnight telephonic call
• Patient Population:Adult Dual Diagnosis/ Substance Abuse
• Schedule:Weekend PRN, PRN vacation weekday coverage (minimum of 1 weekend per month)
• Employment Type:PRN for weekends and vacation coverage
• Daily caseload:caseload will vary
• EMR:Cerner

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for adult patients.
• Participate in daily treatment team meetings.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
• Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: M.D./D.O. with Board Eligibility/Certification in General Psychiatry or Addiction Psychiatry
• Training:Successful completion of an accredited General Psychiatry residency. Experience with Substance Abuse and Dual Diagnosis populations required.
• Licensure: Georgia medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it.
