Job summary

Beacon Surgery Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist PRN to assist the surgical team in aseptic technique and instrument handling. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, autoclave maintenance, and supporting the operating room throughout procedures.

The role requires a recognized Surgical Technologist program completion, BLS, and two years of OR experience or certification. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced surgical setting and uphold patient safety and

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist Certification preferred, or two years of OR experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares/assembles equipment, instrumentation, and supplies for upcoming cases per physician preference cards.
• Prepares autoclaves, ORs, and work rooms at start of day; monitors autoclaves and SPD equipment daily.
• Cleans autoclaves and SPD equipment per manufacturer guidelines; assists with room turnover and sterile technique.
• Assists with preparing the OR for procedures and gowning/gloving team members.
• Maintains patient privacy and dignity; supports patient care in emergencies and routine care.
