Job summary

Western Carolina Surgery Center is seeking a PRN Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team. The center emphasizes patient-focused care and high standards within an AAAHC-accredited facility.

The role supports the surgical team in a one-OR, three-treatment-room setting with orthopedic, spine, podiatry, ENT and ophthalmology exposure. The Surgical Technologist will scrub, maintain sterile technique, prepare instruments and supplies, and participate in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous ambulatory surgical center experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and patient management
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with staff and physicians

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures and functions as a member of the surgical team
• Maintains a sterile field during procedures
• Prepares supplies, instruments and equipment for procedures
• Supports quality improvement activities and center objectives
