Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to support residents in a skilled nursing setting. This PRN position requires STNA certification and high school education, with preference for SNF experience.

Reliable transportation and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are expected. Excellent pay with shift differentials for afternoon and night shifts. Benefits and employee appreciation programs are highlighted.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
• Experience within SNF preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and halls.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
• Required to make independent decisions.
• Required to assist in response to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the STNA provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.
