Job summary

Summit View Surgery Center is a modern, multi-specialty facility with two operating rooms and one treatment room, dedicated to safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical experiences. The Sterile Processing Technician maintains all instrumentation and prepares supplies for cases within a collaborative USPI environment.

The role requires knowledge of sterilizers, OR instrumentation, and ability to adapt to changing patient conditions, with emphasis on teamwork and clear communication with

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
• Six months of experience, preferred.
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
• Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians

Responsibilities

• Care for and maintains all surgical instrumentation.
• Sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
• Prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with Sterrad and steam/gravity sterilizers.
