River Bend Health and Rehabilitation in Asheville, NC is seeking a dedicated Speech Therapist PRN to evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care and educate residents and families on effective communication strategies.

The role requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, active state licensure, CPR, and flexibility to support PRN scheduling.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred.
• CPR certification required (or obtain upon hire).
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Mansioni

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy services including speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing interventions.
• Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing, PT, OT, and physicians for coordinated care.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies to support communication and swallowing.
