Job summary

ProHealth Home Health is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for a PRN role in Dekalb County, AL. The SLP administers intermittent in-home therapy under physician orders and plan of care, with supervision by the Director of Clinical Services/Nursing Supervisor.

Required qualifications include an SLP master’s/doctorate, state licensure, and clinical practicum with relevant experience; CPR/other credentials may be required. Travel to patient homes is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Licensed as an SLP by the state where services are furnished.
• 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum (or in process).
• At least nine months of supervised full-time SLP experience.
• Successfully completed a national approved examination.

Responsibilities

• Implements speech language pathology services as ordered by a physician.
• Directs and supervises personnel as assigned.
• Takes initial history and performs initial evaluation.
• Performs skilled SLP procedures.
• Consults with physicians regarding treatment changes.
• Writes progress reports to physicians.
