Job summary

Windsor Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Windsor, NC is hiring a Speech Therapist- PRN to join our long-term care team. Primary duties include performing comprehensive speech therapy evaluations, developing treatment plans, and documenting progress per MD orders and facility guidelines.

CFY completion and current state licensure are required, with ASHA recognition. The role offers flexible scheduling and competitive wages with yearly raises and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with an MA or MS in communication disorders recognized by ASHA and state board.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state (as applicable).
• Successful completion of CFY.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive speech therapy evaluations per MD orders.
• Document findings on the standardized evaluation format neatly and accurately.
• Create comprehensive treatment plans with long/short-term goals, frequency, duration and modalities.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for evaluations, treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients using modalities and adjusting as indicated.
• Document patient progress and monthly updated treatment plans in approved formats.
• Document patient discharge and in-service as indicated.
• Complete any other documentation required by the Facility.
• Co-sign notes of CFY's and students as per state and federal guidelines.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients and families.
• Provide in-service education to rehab staff and facility staff as needed.
• Comply with facility policies, safety guidelines and HIPAA.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and maintain professionalism.
• Adhere to productivity requirements and submit reports timely.
• Maintain positive work atmosphere and foster positive relations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor or Regional Manager.

Education

MA or MS in communication disorders (ASHA)
