Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time PRN Speech-Language Pathologist for inpatient rehab at Mount Holly. Availability is needed on Weekdays during orientation, with hours 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., mainly Saturdays and occasional Sundays.

The SLP will evaluate and treat to restore communication, cognition, and swallowing, supervise rehab staff, and coordinate patient discharge planning with the care team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Applicable state license for Speech Language Pathology required.
• BLS certification required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises activities of rehab staff and students involved in administering care to patients.
• Evaluates patients and establishes patient care plans including modalities, exercises, and education.
• Communicates evaluation findings and progress to physicians and other staff; coordinates scheduling and discharge planning.
• Gathers data from medical records and family to plan and modify treatment as needed.
