Advocate Health’s Carolinas Rehabilitation Northeast in Concord, NC, seeks a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognition and swallowing disorders. The role involves rotating weekend and holiday coverage and may include a few additional days per week as needed.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with an active state license and BLS certification.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Applicable state license for Speech Language Pathology required.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Directs and supervises activities of rehab technicians, students and volunteers involved in administering care to patients and assists with orienting new and rotating staff.
• Evaluates patients and establishes appropriate patient care plan including modalities and education.
• Gathers and interprets data from medical records and physician reports to identify needs and assists with documentation and discharge planning.
• Documents evaluations, tests, progress notes, daily treatment notes, attendance, education and discharge notes.
• Re-evaluates patients as status changes and adjusts goals and treatment accordingly.
