Job summary
Treemont Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Dallas, TX seeks a Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist to support residents with swallowing and cognitive goals. The SLP will provide skilled assessments, create individualized treatments, and implement AAC solutions to maximize independence.
Active Texas license and ASHA certification required. Prior SNF/long-term care experience and Net Health documentation familiarity are highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Experience in SNF/long-term care environments preferred.
- Knowledge of current speech-language pathology practices.
- Experience with Net Health electronic documentation.
- Ability to work with residents who have varying personalities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents for swallowing or cognitive deficits.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to increase independence.
- Provide AAC systems for expressive language disorders.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other professionals for diagnostic swallowing procedures.
- Document billing records and clinical notes accurately.
- Educate residents, caregivers, and staff; ensure confidentiality and compliance.
