Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct rehab care in speech therapy for patients upon physician referral in a skilled nursing setting.

Requires MS/MA in SLP, state licensure, and ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility. CPR must be current; new grads welcome. This PRN role offers hourly pay and opportunities to work within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP).
• ASHA certified (CCC) OR must be eligible for CFY to earn CCCs and meet credentialing criteria.
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State with active license in good standing.
• One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation; must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate.
• Liaisons with patients, families, support departments to plan for patient needs.
• Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times.
• Possess the ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Knowledgeable of post-acute care laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Implement and interpret department programs, goals, and procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.
