What you will do in this role:

1. Assist patients in recovering and improving their speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities through therapy.
2. Communicate patient progress or issues to supervisors and team members; assist with scheduling and daily documentation of charges.
3. Accurately document patient care in compliance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accreditation standards.
4. Educate patients' families and nursing staff on follow-up programs.
5. Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe and clean condition.
6. Adhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards, and applicable laws.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program or meeting ASHA certification requirements.
2. Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology from ASHA.
3. At least six months of experience working with adult and geriatric populations as a speech therapist or speech-language pathologist.
4. Current, unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.
5. Current CPR certification.
6. Strong organizational and communication skills.
