What you will do in this role:

1. Assist patients in recovering and improving their speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
2. Communicate patient progress or issues to supervisors and team members; assist with scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
3. Document patient care in compliance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting standards.
4. Educate patients’ families or nursing staff on follow-up programs.
5. Maintain equipment and work area in a safe, clean condition.
6. Perform responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, compliance policies, professional standards, and applicable laws.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Graduate of a master’s level program in Speech Language Pathology accredited by the Education Standards Board or meeting ASHA certification requirements.
2. Meet the education and experience requirements for ASHA’s Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology.
3. Minimum of six months of experience working with adult and geriatric populations as a speech therapist or speech-language pathologist.
4. Current, unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are provided.
5. Current CPR certification.
6. Strong organizational and communication skills.
