Job summary

Kindred Hospital Albuquerque, LTACH, is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (PRN) to join Lifepoint Rehabilitation. You will provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities for adults and geriatric patients in a LTACH setting.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, communicating with the team, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. CPR and state licensure are required, with ongoing professional development encouraged.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent, accredited by Education Standards Board or ASHA eligibility.
• Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology (ASHA).
• Minimum of six months experience with adults/geriatric populations as a speech-language pathologist.
• Current and unrestricted SLP license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities.
• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and team; assist with scheduling and post charges.
• Document patient care per regulatory and payer requirements.
• Instruct patient families or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe, clean condition.
• Adhere to company conduct policies and applicable laws.
• Other duties as assigned.
